Dried Flower Care

Dried flowers are a beautiful way to add a touch of nature to your home, and with proper care, they can last for a year or even longer! Here are some key tips for keeping your dried flowers looking their best:

  • Keep them dry: Dried flowers don't need water, and in fact, moisture can damage them. Avoid placing them in humid environments like bathrooms and opt for cool, dry areas. You can even use a dehumidifier to control humidity levels in your home, especially if you live in a warm or humid climate.

  • Sun's not their friend: Direct sunlight can cause dried flowers to fade over time. Find a spot for them away from harsh sunlight, or consider using an opaque vase to offer some protection.

  • Gently brush away dust: Dust can accumulate on dried flowers, but be careful when cleaning them. Use a soft paintbrush or compressed air to gently remove dust particles. Avoid using water or cleaning products, as these can damage the flowers.

  • Find a permanent home: Dried flowers are more delicate than fresh ones, so it's best to minimize handling. Choose a spot for your arrangement and avoid moving it around too much. This will help to prevent the flowers from becoming brittle and breaking.

  • Embrace the change: Even with the best care, dried flowers will naturally fade over time. This can add to their vintage charm! If you notice a flower becoming particularly fragile, you can always remove it from the arrangement.

By following these simple tips, you can enjoy your dried flowers for many months or even years to come!
